Our current vacancies include:

Audit Manager

  • Lead, manage and motivate the Audit team to deliver timely and quality audits, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction is delivered at all times
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, being their key contact throughout the year.
  • Pro-actively manage client planning and close-down meetings, ensuring the team are fully up to date and understand their roles throughout each audit
  • Ensure audit practices and approaches are up to date, best practice and compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Develop good awareness of the industry locally, ensuring professional network is cultivated with the aim of attracting and developing new business

Assistant Audit Manager

Reporting to the Senior Audit Managers and Audit Managers, the Assistant Audit Manager will:

  • Assist and deliver high quality audit and accounts work on client engagements
  • Develop effective relationships with clients and their staff, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction is delivered at all times
  • Manage reporting requirements and expectations/deadlines with the clients
  • Work on the complex and significant risk areas of the audit and prioritise accordingly
  • Undertake day to day management of the field team whilst on assignment, ensuring timely and effective delivery to the required standard

Ideal candidates should possess the following attributes/experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of the audit process gained in a similar practice environment
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or close to achieving the qualification)
  • Experience of using Audit systems and CCH
  • Competent MS Office skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Senior Audit Associates

Reporting to the Audit Managers and Assistant Audit Managers, the Associate will:

  • Assist with and deliver high quality audit and accounts assignments both in the office or at clients’ premises
  • Prepare and plan in advance of the audit to ensure all client information is up to date.
  • Liaise directly with client staff and establish effective working relationships
  • Prioritise and plan work to meet the expectations of the client, managing any conflicting pressures
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of staff

Ideal candidates should possess the following attributes/experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of the audit process gained in a similar practice environment
  • Working towards ACA/ACCA qualification
  • Experience of using Audit systems and CCH
  • Competent MS Office skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Senior Accounts Associates

Reporting to the Senior Manager and Manager (Accounts & Outsourcing), the Senior Accounts Associate will:

  • Prepare Limited Company Accounts for clients within the SME sector and have a good knowledge of accounts compliance.
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients as required.
  • Be proficient in use of Cloud systems in all activities, providing training and support to clients both at their premises and remotely.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of staff.

Ideal candidates should possess the following attributes/experience:

  • Relevant experience in the preparation of financial accounts.
  • AAT L3/4 qualified or part qualfied or qualified by experience
  • Experience of Cloud-based systems, eg Xero, Quickbooks, etc.
  • Competent MS Office skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills

Graduate Trainees

Our Graduate training programme guarantees our trainees invaluable, hands-on, practical experience with a wide range of different clients.  You’ll combine this practical experience with studying towards either the ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification via the Level 7 Accountancy Professional apprenticeship.

Ideally, candidates will be graduates with a minimum of:

  • 2:1 degree (ideally)
  • B, C, C at A-level
  • Level 6 GCSE Maths
  • Level 5 English

 

First class communication skills, both oral and written, are required as is an organised and professional approach to work.

A willingness and commitment to study for ACA, ACCA or CTA examinations is essential.

Whilst a strong academic record is desirable, we also welcome applications from those who have experienced something different in life, whether it be through volunteering, part-time work, the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, team sports or other activities where you can demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, co-operation and a “can-do” attitude.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to participate in our assessment process which provides a mix of interview, aptitude and workplace assessments.

We are now welcoming applications for our 2024 Graduate Scheme.

AAT Apprenticeship

Typically, an accounts apprentice joining after school or college will study AAT and achieve the Level 4 qualification within approximately 36 months of joining.  This may provide an opportunity to go on an study a higher qualification such as ACA or ACCA, which would be studied as a Level 7 Apprenticeship – the highest level available and the same as studied by our graduate entrants.

We typically recruit into our Accounts & Outsourcing Team, but may also have vacancies in our Audit, Tax and Trust teams as well as office administration.
